Because is a well stablished knowledge, with different sources, that Falkreath was Northern Colovia/Western Cyrodiil until Tiber septim, now the marvelous TESO-books guys include another inconsistence, because the imperials/colovians are not even mentioned! for this reason is a clear inconsistence, not for the simply nord dominion, but because the historic change is not justified, only because this guys only known the "skyrim lore" and very superficially, and you know "in Skyrim Falkreath is the Southern Hold". Horrible online-lazy-"whatever dude, the explosions are cool"-thing. New: I just read the Orcs of Skyrim, that someone uses to justify the next idea in Falkreath page: In the middle Second Era, it was a part of the kingdom of Western Skyrim.
So is comprehensible that "real cyrodiilics" (not Tiber Septim for example that was breton or nord) don't accept the Falkreath is Skyrim consideration. I think that Colovia is not simply the aboriginal nedic and nord mix, but the bretons have a great breton or "western nedic" influx in them, but in any case: Falkreath was only "part of Skyrim" for 600 (after last Remans) of 4.450 years. The history of Falkreath and the rest of Colovia is really complex and some sources state the influence of the bretons in the new "imperial" culture under Reman I.
Falkreath was the northernmost colovian kingdom and her ruler. As an Imperial soldier, you will find few friends here., etc. Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak rules.he and his followers should be considered your most serious threat.
